Louise McEwan

Marketing & Events Manager

Louise leads on the development and implementation of marketing activity across the Enterprise Directorate of Volunteering Matters covering both Get the Gen and the Employee volunteering service.

With a degree in Events Management, Louise has spent 7+ years working in events, marketing, and project management, primarily in the third sector. Previously leading a charity project facilitating social events and friendships for people with learning disabilities, she has a passion for inclusion and helping people to connect through meaningful experiences.

Louise has led on the creation of content and strategies for a variety of mediums from social media to events, websites, blogs and press to leaflets, branding guidelines and funding reports.

She has been an industry mentor to several groups of Robert Gordon University students to support them in developing and delivering fundraising events for local charities.

Louise recently became co-author of a book titled “My 2020: Stories of strength and resilience through the pandemic”, writing a chapter in which she shares her thoughts on the highs and lows of living, working, and parenting throughout a year of lockdowns.

She works remotely in Aberdeen, where she lives with her son and two cats.
