Tomorrow’s Workforce – Today!

Fully funded workshops to help businesses in Newport and Rhondda Cynon Taff to recruit, retain, and develop the best local multi-generational talent.

We work with businesses across the UK and internationally to offer a unique perspective into the challenges of managing a multi-generational and rapidly changing workforce. We share good practice around how to create collaboration and cohesion to enhance business performance and employee engagement.

With 4, or even 5, generations now often working together, there has never been a more important time to get this right!

This insightful and highly interactive online workshop is being now offered to local businesses in the RCT and Newport areas in Wales, on a fully funded basis throughout March-June 2022.

The 2-hour workshop equips employers with knowledge, insight, and tools to help them grow and get the best out of their diverse workforce.

“There is no doubt that the world of work is changing. Research tells us that the younger workforce, particularly Gen Zs and Millennials who are currently climbing the career ladder, will be the ones to drive and advocate for greater change in the future.

Get The Gen works with businesses to help them recognise where this drive comes from, so that organisations can understand the role they can play in creating a purposeful, efficient, cohesive environment for all generations to work together. It will be companies who understand and get ahead of these practices who will best navigate this continual change.”

Sara Cook, Head of Operations at Get the Gen.

These workshops are a part of the Newport and RCT 360 programme which is supported by the UK Government Community Renewal fund and works in partnership with colleagues from Volunteering Matters and Employee Volunteering. The collective goal is to help local people level-up their employment prospects from school leavers to older adults.

Our colleagues at Employee Volunteering will be working with businesses to create nationally managed, locally delivered volunteering opportunities, enabling teams to share their expertise and upskill individuals returning to work. This not only supports the local people, but it also builds links to customers and develops better connected teams.

Each fully funded offer is open to businesses of any industry and size, operating in the Newport and RCT areas. These opportunities can transform local communities while helping local businesses and their employees perform better.
